I am running flex applications to coldfusion components and
need to be able to see errors. Sure i see em in administrator, but
they aren't much. Perhaps i don't have the right combination of
settings, but i swear ive tried them all. Anyways it would be nice
for coldfusion to return specifics when an error is encountered,
such as the component on which the error occurred as well and the
line. It doesn't show any of this so its a guessing game. But since
this is small to begin with its manageable to an extent, but its
just a little annoying.
I've heard to run coldfusion in command prompt so you can see
any errors come in, i have been looking for this information but i
cannot find out which commands i need to run in order for it to
output errors.
Thanks!Usefull error reporting in CFAdmin?
Don't forget that you have two sets of log files - Coldfusion
logs and Java logs. I find it more useful to just go to the log
files directly and open in a text editor (Textpad, Notepad++, etc).
The logs are normally located at:
CF Logs: C:\CFusionMX7\logs
Java logs: C:\CFusionMX7\runtime\logs
