I just added the new DW CS3 to my cart on the Adobe store
site, and I was
given the option to buy the DW CS3 user guide for an
additional $12! What a
joke, documentation to make a product work right is now
extra. It's a
brilliant way for Adobe to get more money (and still show
$199), but it's
also a great way to make customers unhappy.

99% of software users never read the documentation.
That said, I have to assume the documentation IS on the
CDs...and that you'd
just paying extra if you want the dead-tree
version...correct?

User Guide Cost Extra?!
Actually, it would make me happy. I almost never use those
tree-killers....

If they're just talking about a printed copy, then, that's
fine. But they
don't specify. And no, I don't read the user guide from
beginning to end,
but I do reference the help files from time to time
(especially with a new
version).

Then the forum can expect even more questions from new users
struggling how to make there super website in two weeks
having been
given DW or is it now Dw

Where'd you get that statistic, Darrell? Kind of hard to
believe.

It's pretty common these days for only the PDF to be included
with the
software purchase. You can get it printed at a Kinko's (or
whatever), or
print out chapters as you need them, which is what I do.
