Maxing Encoder Threads

I have a dual CPU quad core for a total of 8 cores on XP
32-bit. When I begin encoding only 1 of the cores is maxed and my
CPU load is 10 percent overall. No other cores are touched. Instead
of waiting around for a couple of hours, I would like to get all of
my processor churning. Does anyone know if ANYTHING is in
development to spread the threads around? Any hacks to try? Seems
like a waste of CPU and encoding time.Maxing Encoder Threads
Sorenson Squeeze 4.5 has just made some improvements on their
ON2 encoder to make use of multi-core processors (
http://www.sorensonmedia.com/).
There are some other encoders out there such as the ON2 encoders
which may yield better performance but I have not tested these (
http://www.on2.com/).
