Browser persistence

I've been having a problem for a while now with the browser
not displaying the new information in a document for some time,
sometimes several hours. This is after I have uploaded the info to
my site. I have of course cleared the cache and set it to 0 KM. And
if I clear the cache each time I upload something it makes no
difference.

Now the browser has started to hold the old info even when I
just punch F12. It doesn't matter which browser I'm using either
they all seem to have this persistence problem. Anyone else having
a problem like this?Browser persistence

Safari is notorious for cacheing files when you don't want it
to.

The easiest way to get it to load the new page is to add a
random

querystring to the end of it.

So, if you are trying to load mypage.html, instead try
mypage.html?q=2939

The querystring will force the browser to go back to the
server to get the

file as it assumes that it's a dynamic page (even when it
isn't)

Browser persistence
Have you contacted your host about this? It's possible this a
server issue

and not a browser thing at all.

Thank-you Darrel. I'll try that
Whose your ISP? AOL, for one, is notorious for using page
caches that they

serve out to speed up browsing and sometimes you have to wait
until they

update the pages in their cache.
