ANNC: XHTML/CSS Shopping Cart & CMS

Dpivision.com Ltd is extremely proud to announce the arrival
of the highly

anticipated Tradingeye PHP XHTML/CSS shopping cart %26amp; CMS
software.

Over six months in the making, this latest release brings
together the same

award-winning functionality and user-friendly interface of
Tradingeye v5

with the massively popular language of PHP - allowing even
easier access for

those who wish to customize the system to suit their own
particular needs.

But this isn't simply a port from ColdFusion to PHP. The
system has been

rebuilt from the ground up to integrate as many new features
as possible,

from a wish list comprised of our current customers'
requests.

The marketing aspects of Tradingeye have been expanded upon,
offering site

owners improved performance, security and search engine
visibility.

We also have a brand new online demo which can be found by
visiting:

Tradingeye article, issue 161 April 2007

One of our pet peeves with ecommerce software is the quality
of the end

result, which often looks terrible. This isn't a complaint we
can make about

Tradingeye, whose XHTML CSS themes are clean, professional
and compliant

with both the US Section 508 accessibility rules and the UK's
Disability

Discrimination Act.

Tradingeye covers the important stuff, too. You can set
different

Tax rates for different areas, set postage by weight , run
time-Limited

promotions or discounts, keep track of customers and
suppliers and share

data with Sage accounting systems and Act CMS. The system
supports a wide

range of payment methods including offline processing, and
payment firms

including PayPal and VeriSign.

If you have any questions about Tradingeye or would like a
member of our

team to go through our online demo, then please feel free to
contact us.

I agree Steve - though it does look good. Not that many carts
out there

that do validate as well as this one (apart from one error
from memory) and

it appears easy enough to skin.... I just find it strange
that we've never

heard of it before - hence my question about how longs it's
been 'out

there'. There seem to be quite a few sites in the portfolio
and many of

them don't have that 'generic shopping cart' look - which
adds appeals.

Hi Nadia,

I have been working with a client to develop an online
engineering site for

over a year (usual holdups)

Anyway, I went to tradingeye after seeing it mentioned by
Thierry in this

forum.

It only had a CF version then. The client is almost ready to
go and by this

time I have switched to the PHP version which only came out
in Jan.

Steve says it is expensive and in some ways it is.

As a non specialist you can either buy a web app that builds
a cart

(webassist, cartweaver etc) or get one off the peg for
less.(zencart etc) or

pay for a solution like this.

This only needs skinning and has a help on the end of a phone
rather than a

forum.

The price starts to look good then.

As an ecomm newbie this firm has held my hand without (as
yet) receiving any

money in their own :-)

There is a value to that level of technical support - given
its rarity

in today's marketplace. We get telephone calls from all over
